Animal Petting & Feeding

Every afternoon Julie takes you to her pet animals and teaches you about how to behave around farm animals. Everyone can join in and meet Bobby the pony as well as Kappa and Buttons the sheep. Animal feeding takes place in the yard behind the Poets Cottage, there is no cost involved and no bookings required. It only takes about 20min. each day so make sure you are there early and meet Julie on her way past the pool lawn. We provide their favorite foods which you can hand to the animals and give them a good pat. Feeding times are displayed on the blackboard in the pottery shop. Please don’t feed our pet animals outside of feeding times and never give them food you brought with you.

The exception is our chickens.

You are welcome to feed your vegetarian kitchen scraps to our chickens anytime! You can find some steps along the back fence of the chicken yard to help you tip your scraps into the yard.

Please do not open any animal enclosures without staff.
